On today’s show, we’re going to meet two amazing people with kids in the center of their hearts. Phil Rego was called to found on orphanage in Haiti. Jeanette Yoffe, a foster and adopted child herself, founded a support center in honor of her biological mother. Both strive to support transitions to happy and healthy permanent homes. Ten children, all fostered, died in his arms. One of his own sons died. His other son was born with brittle bones. His days are spent caring for unwanted children. Our first guest is Mohamed Bzeek, a foster parent who takes in terminally ill children, often caring for them until they die. He was recently given the International Benevolence Award.
